Christian definition of the word "DISCOVERY"

"Discovery" is fairly common & routinely used word.

What I & most other people understood that it means - "Finding or locating something or someone which was not known before, although it existed all the time."

Christian Church defines "Discovery" as: "Any LAND or PROPERTY which is owned by a NON-CHRISTIAN or HEATHEN; & a Christian just MERELY sets his eyes on it & claims to be his own; the original REAL owner loses ALL RIGHTS to it."

This definition is so horrible an idea in today's world, that it's difficult to believe that this same definition was regarded as Holy & celebrated 500 years ago. Even today this DEFINITION is part of the Law in the USA, the so-called Champion of Human Rights.

I came across this definition in the video by Prof C K Raju. Listen to 11:40 onwards...Listening to the entire video is quite an educative experience.

Then I looked up Steve Newcomb & his article "Five Hundred Years of Injustice", mentioned by Prof. C K Raju...

Origins of the Doctrine of Discovery

To understand the connection between Christendom's principle of discovery and the laws of the United States, we need to begin by examining a papal document issued forty years before Columbus' historic voyage In 1452, Pope Nicholas V issued to King Alfonso V of Portugal the bull Romanus Pontifex, declaring war against all non-Christians throughout the world, and specifically sanctioning and promoting the conquest, colonization, and exploitation of non-Christian nations and their territories. 

Under various theological and legal doctrines formulated during and after the Crusades, non-Christians were considered enemies of the Catholic faith and, as such, less than human. Accordingly, in the bull of 1452, Pope Nicholas directed King Alfonso to "capture, vanquish, and subdue the saracens, pagans, and other enemies of Christ," to "put them into perpetual slavery," and "to take all their possessions and property." [Davenport: 20-26] Acting on this papal privilege, Portugal continued to traffic in African slaves, and expanded its royal dominions by making "discoveries" along the western coast of Africa, claiming those lands as Portuguese territory. 

Thus, when Columbus sailed west across the Sea of Darkness in 1492 - with the express understanding that he was authorized to "take possession" of any lands he "discovered" that were "not under the dominion of any Christian rulers" - he and the Spanish sovereigns of Aragon and Castile were following an already well-established tradition of "discovery" and conquest. [Thacher:96] Indeed, after Columbus returned to Europe, Pope Alexander VI issued a papal document, the bull Inter Cetera of May 3, 1493, "granting" to Spain - at the request of Ferdinand and Isabella - the right to conquer the lands which Columbus had already found, as well as any lands which Spain might "discover" in the future. 

In the Inter Cetera document, Pope Alexander stated his desire that the "discovered" people be "subjugated and brought to the faith itself." [Davenport:61] By this means, said the pope, the "Christian Empire" would be propagated. [Thacher:127] When Portugal protested this concession to Spain, Pope Alexander stipulated in a subsequent bull - issued May 4, 1493 - that Spain must not attempt to establish its dominion over lands which had already "come into the possession of any Christian lords." [Davenport:68] Then, to placate the two rival monarchs, the pope drew a line of demarcation between the two poles, giving Spain rights of conquest and dominion over one side of the globe, and Portugal over the other. 

During this quincentennial of Columbus' journey to the Americas, it is important to recognize that the grim acts of genocide and conquest committed by Columbus and his men against the peaceful Native people of the Caribbean were sanctioned by the abovementioned documents of the Catholic Church. Indeed, these papal documents were frequently used by Christian European conquerors in the Americas to justify an incredibly brutal system of colonization - which dehumanized the indigenous people by regarding their territories as being "inhabited only by brute animals." [Story:135-6] 

The lesson to be learned is that the papal bulls of 1452 and 1493 are but two clear examples of how the "Christian Powers," or "different States of Christendom," viewed indigenous peoples as "the lawful spoil and prey of their civilized conquerors." [Wheaton:270-1] In fact, the Christian "Law of Nations" asserted that Christian nations had a divine right, based on the Bible, to claim absolute title to and ultimate authority over any newly "discovered" Non-Christian inhabitants and their lands. Over the next several centuries, these beliefs gave rise to the Doctrine of Discovery used by Spain, Portugal, England, France, and Holland - all Christian nations.

Prof C K Raju goes on & wonders as to why such a thing did not happen in case of India. The answer he found that the Europeans were militarily WEAKER than Indians in those days. They, however, made other "DISCOVERIES" in India. They simply STOLE the Scientific & Mathematical Knowledge from Indian HEATHENS, appropriated as their own.

Even Newton who we are told was the "inventor" of Calculus, had it from Indian sources & forgot to credit the original inventors, as they were mere Heathens.

I find it a bit funny & sad at the same time for Hindus, in the only country where they are in Majority have been reduced to begging in front of a supposedly Hindutva Party lead gobar-mint to grant them the same RIGHTS as enjoyed by the Minorities... #HinduCharterOfDemands

"Sab Ka Sab Ka Vikas" & "Justice for all, Appeasement of none" proved to be election bromides, that was tossed out as soon as Modi Gobar-mint took charge in 2014.

Simply presenting the #HinduCharterofDemands to the gobar-mint will not do. It has to be followed by MILITANT AGITATIONS. Only then some results can be seen in ONE lifetime.

Don't beg for "parity" with other Religions, assert Hindu Superiority over the inimical Foreign Desert Cults of Death. One is a "Corpse Worshipper's Cult" and the other is a "Corpse Maker's Cult"...

Further, don't expect to get ANY results by taking the "legal route", as 40 years in future the Supreme Court or Sharia Court of India will throw out the petition for "being too old a matter". Right now the Supreme Choolias are busy with a very important decades old matter of the constitutionality of a Hotel paying compensation to a Guest for his car being stolen from Hotel's parking lot...

Demand to amend the Articles 25 to 30 by Parliament will end up in a maze of or a web of Committees, Sub-Committees & Standing Committees. Add to that the BJP's pet "excuse" of not having enough numbers in RS. Add more reasons of opposition stalling the parliament, opposition "walking out", opposition creating such a din in the house that the work has to be adjourned for several days, consecutively. So, nothing can be gained in one lifetime, by taking the parliamentary route.

Hindus have to learn from Christians & Muslims... "A squeaky wheel gets the Grease" or "A mother does not feed her baby until he starts crying". Agitate loudly & militantly.

RSS & well-meaning dunderheads like Rajeev Malhotra are busy selling the idea of "geographical Hindutva"... Stupid ideas of anybody born in "geographical limits" of India is a Hindu, Christian Hindus, Swadeshi Muslims kind of heady & esoteric stuff. They are promoting the idea of "living together" with somebody who has a declared intention of killing or converting them. One of them declares so 5 times a day on "supposedly banned by court orders" loudspeakers... I pity their idealism & naivety.

There can be no compromise between Food & Poison. If there is one, the death of Hindu civilization is a mathematical certainty.

Liberals, Commies, Muslims & Christians accuse Hindus as an Intolerant lot when the Hindus are the most docile accommodative ones. Any feeble attempt by a Hindu to protect his property, culture or even the honor of Hindu women & girls being raped/killed; is immediately labeled & smeared as "Intolerance" of "Majoritarianism".

Let the Anti-Hindu forces see what the REAL "Intolerance" of "Majoritarianism" is when the Worm turns & refuses to get HURT.

I have had it up to here. Cannot tolerate any more of this nonsense of BJP's Secularism based on the Duratma M K Gandhi's "Sarva Dharma Sambhav" principle.

I am going to start a political party which would be for the benefit exclusively of Hindus. It would look after and protect Hindu traditions culture and overall Dharma.

The new party will be called The Hindu Rashtrawadi Party ( Hindu Rashtrawadi Paksha ). The fundamental principles of the Hindu Rashtrawadi Party will be on these lines...

1. All Hindu castes are to be abolished and all Hindus to be treated as equals. Needless to say, all caste-based reservation are also to be abolished.
2. Any Public Show or Practice of  "Non-Indic cults" is proposed to be banned and transgressors would be tried and if convicted will attract a sentence for at least 100 years jail term on conviction.
3. “Hindus” will mean all Indic Dharms or Panths that originated in India -Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism & all other native traditions of Nature & Animal worship.
4. Jews and Parsis, while being non-Indic, are to be given a special status of Honorary Hindus since they had lived peacefully in the country for centuries.
5. All non-Indic "Religions" are to be derecognized as 'Religions' and put in a category of inimical Foreign Cults.
6. All persons professing faiths in "Foreign Cults", holding office in government are to be sacked. Even employing them as sweepers or janitors is not to be allowed. The logic being the persons subscribing to these ideologies are unlikely to actively promote the cause and welfare of Hindu Rashtra.
7. Only those persons who are born and raised as Hindus will have voting rights. Anyone from "Foreign Cults" converting back to Hinduism will not automatically get voting rights, however, their children will be eligible if they were raised as Hindus.
8. All those professing faiths in "Foreign Cults" citizens are free to Live but not to propagate their religion or evangelize. They can raise their children in their faith. Any of the "Foreign Cults" citizen who wished to convert back to Hinduism are free to do so. They will be not be granted the full rights enjoyed by the Hindus but their children Born and raised as Hindu would be eligible for full rights.
9. The property owned by "Foreign Cults" organizations is to be Nationalised.
10. Communism and Communists by any other names are banned. Anybody found with any literature concerning communism or sympathizing with them, will attract a sentence for at least 100 years in jail on conviction.
11. Anyone including Hindus if found sympathizing with "Foreign Cults"  and/or Communist ideology could be imprisoned for at least 100 years.
12. The licenses and permits to each and every newspaper, TV channel will stand canceled. They will be required to apply afresh with proof of Indian Hindu ownership of the respective institution. New rules regarding media are to be formulated. The most important rule is that the media house should be 100% owned by Indian Hindu citizens. There will be no censorship but the media House’s CEO & the entire editorial team would be prosecuted and jailed for 100 years, for Publishing a false news, unverified news, or Conspiring against Hindus. The media houses free to criticize the government or its policies but would not be able to badmouth Hindu culture or indulge in “HIT jobs”.
13. The above decisions are taken for the protection of Hinduism on the principle of “Dharmo rakshati rakshitah” or “Dharma protects protector”. These foreign cults are a danger to Hindu culture since they had started abusing the freedom they had been granted by the Hindus, thus violating the Principle of Reciprocity. Hindus are taking back their country.
14. A team of Indic Historians is to be appointed to re-write the History from Ancient to modern times--True History, from an Indic perspective.
15. Indian Constitution to be scrapped lock stock and barrel. There is to be no written constitution but unwritten one based on Kautilya's Arthashastra's, Cholas', Pandian's, Vijayanagara's, Shivaji's practices, much-maligned "Manu Smriti" & "Dharma Shastras", with suitable amendments for this age.
16. Indian Penal Code will stand scrapped, to be replaced by natural justice or Dharmik justice.  
17. The memory of the so-called "Mahatma" Gandhi is to be erased permanently from the minds of the general populace. Towards this all Statues of Gandhi are to be pulled down, Institutions named after him are to be renamed,  all buildings, roads and other such places where his name is used are to be renamed. The currency notes are to be replaced by new currency notes printed on plastic flexible sheets without Gandhi's picture.
18. Same procedure to be adopted in case of Nehru and Indira Gandhi’s Memorials. All memory  of Gandhi Nehru is to be erased from Public consciousness and would be replaced by the neglected real freedom fighters

“Ola Who? Uber !!!“

Once Lord Ola, The all Powerful, The all Knowing and most Merciful God needed a vacation.
He is summoned his most trusted lieutenant, Profit Uber.

He told Profit Uber his problem of making humans and sending them to the earth in his absence...
Profit Uber said “don't worry Sir, if you train me I will take care of everything”
Lord Ola smiled and said, “the job is very easy, so easy that any fool can do it.”

Lord Ola then took Profit Uber on a tour of the facilities. He pointed out a machine with a hopper and said “There are many halls in this facility. Each hall contains various parts which make up the human body such as Eyes, Noses, Bones, Lungs, Stomach, Intestines etc.

All you have to do is to take the requisite number of parts from each hall and put them into this here hopper. Finally, you have to pull this lever and one human will be delivered to the earth.”
Profit Uber enthusiastically said “it's an easy job, don't worry sir you go and enjoy your vacation. I will take care of your job.”

A week later Lord Ola returned from his vacation. Profit Uber proudly took him around the human making facility saying “I have finished all of the RAW MATERIAL.”

He took Lord Ola from the hall after hall, throwing open the doors with a flourish.
Standing in front of a just opened door, with his back towards the open door, Profit Uber rather arrogantly clenched his fist with the thumb out, over his shoulders, dancing eyebrows seem to say “See!”.

They came to the last hall. Profit Uber repeated his “performance”.

Lord Ola, the faint smile on his face which he had till now vanished. Furiously he caught hold of Profit Uber by both his shoulders and turned him around, rather roughly, to face the open door of the hall which was full of “Rational Thinking Ability” and thundered “You nincompoop, what have you done? You have made an entire lot without “Rational Thinking Ability”.

They are gathered up, by my divine will, into a Tribe in a Desert country. I hereby curse you to be the Ruler over them. They will pass on their lack of “Rational Thinking Ability” to their progeny. I further curse you that whomsoever joins you or your Tribe will instantly lose their“Rational Thinking Ability”.

Contrite Profit Uber apologized profusely for his lapse and; begged Lord Ola not to be so harsh and forgive him.

Lord Ola was not in a forgiving mood. He said, “I can not take back MY words, they are like an arrow shot from a bow”

“O Lord Ola, have mercy on your servant. Did you seriously mean what you said about PROGENY and about the people joining the Tribe”? asked Captain Uber, almost in tears.

Lord Ola was really angry now, he screamed “I meant every word. If you have not understood, I will break it down for you. The Humans YOU have created, who are lacking the ‘Rational Thinking Ability’ will pass it on to their Progeny & the progeny will pass it on to their Progeny & this will be for ETERNITY. Those who join you or your tribe, anytime in future will lose their ‘Rational Thinking Ability’ instantly and will pass the said lack to their Progeny, for ETERNITY”.
Profit Uber was not one to give in so easily. He argued, “What if the entire World population joins my tribe?”

Then Lord Ola said in a calm and even tone “I will destroy everybody like I had destroyed the Dinosaurs. Now you better leave here this instant to take charge of your subjects.”

Thus, bitter at heart, Profit Uber had to leave the Heaven and come to this mortal world.

On his way out of the Heaven, he thought of a devious plan of FORCING the entire population of Earth to join his Tribe. He rather liked the idea of “Everybody being destroyed as Dinosaurs”

He preached his Tribesmen and those who had joined his Tribe that they had to make others join their Tribe by hook or crook.

Profit Uber also gave them a rallying slogan which would also serve as identification of fellow Tribesmen.

That slogan was and is - “Ola Who? Uber !!!“

Profit Uber has long gone and even after almost 15 centuries, his Tribesmen are busy making people join their Tribe…by the same war cry of “Ola Who? Uber !!!“.
