First a confession…. it's my firm belief that good Muslim is an ex Muslim or apostate Muslim.There are no such animal as modern Muslims , moderate Muslims, westernized Muslims ,Reformist Muslims etc. They actually exist only in political correct people's imagination Or as figment of imagination in left liberal so-called intellectuals or Dhimmi Slaves of Islam..
Few days ago I came across an article -The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Muslims
describing traits of Muslims of three types. It's worth the time to read it entirely; but one para got me thinking --
The description of "Ugly Muslim" seems to fit Mr.Tarek Fatah to the proverbial "t"...Let's see how ...
These are the days when Mr.Tarek Fatah is infesting TV screens almost everyday on one channel or other. I heard some of the talks thought that this man may be either intrinsically sincere,decent and honest HUMAN OR an expert practitioner of "Taqquiya".
This required research & that is exactly what I proceeded to do….
First let us have a look at what endeared Mr.Tarek Fatah to Indians.
In this video Mr. Tarek Fatah took strong exception to the fact that a road named after the tyrant exists in the capital of India viz - "Aurangzeb Road". He followed it up with a letter to GOI suggesting change which was implemented in record short time. Although there were demands for the change from Indians earlier; due to risk of seeming "non-secular",it was not acted upon; but when the suggestion comes from a Muslim citizen of Canada....
So why do I call Mr Tarek Fatah DANGEROUS ?
There happens to be some good and evil in every human being. While most of the religions tried to draw out the “good” passions; Islam appealed to the lowest animalistic passions of human nature. Islam also forbids quitting the faith under the threat of death for apostasy; so the children of the Muslims had to be a Muslims, they cannot be of any other faith . This arrangements trapped people like Mr Tarek Fatah, who are possibly intrinsically good.
Mr Tarek Fatah will not will not bother to criticize Islam / Quran. He confines his criticism to individuals or specific countries & it’s leaders. His criticism of Quran or Islam is always wrapped in velvet. He retains his Muslim identity for the fear of been branded apostate and killed.
Mr Tarek Fatah could be honorable man with good intentions but his actions and words give undeserved respectability to Quran and by extension Islam.
He manages to convince the non Muslims that “Real” Islam is not all that bad; what is bad about it is - some of the Islamist people’s interpretation of Quran (Never Mind his own claims about Quran being written after the prophet's & Mohammed’s heirs being turned out by his enemies ) and Hadith.
It's a fact that non Muslims get carried away by talks by the likes of Mr Tarek Fatah and get complacent very quickly. Especially Hindus who will cheer anybody who talks against Muslims and talks good about ancient India,Indian heritage and Bharat Mata. When average person comes out from the hall he is full of hate for Muslims and respect for the “real” Islam. It's so horribly reverse of the fact that they should be coming out of the hall sympathy for Muslims and hate for Islam. Mr Tarek Fatah manages to disarm them by their own complacency.
Hear him reviewing a book written by Ms Ayan Hirsi Ali on Rawal TV here. He scoffs at Ms Ayan Hirsi Ali ‘s contention that there are Meccan Muslims (Peaceful) & there are Madina Muslims (Violent).
He condescendingly scoffs at Ms Ayan Hirsi Ali for being apostate. He trivializes her leaving Islam and speaking against it as somebody who was carrying on intra family squabble after divorce …
It's not that Mr Tarek Fatah is unaware of Quran and its contents and how it is structured and how some of the Meccan verses are abrogated to be replaced by more violent verses supposedly revealed at Madina. If he is unaware, here is the list of abrogated verses. It can be accessed here.
He believes in Sharia and the concept of Dar ul Harab & by extension Dar-ul-Islam. When he believes this concept what is essentially saying that it's ok for Muslims to convert the land or country they are living in, to Darul Islam; thereby giving tacit approval for Jihad. In the final analysis Mr Tarek Fatah happens to be against certain “ Muslims” and not Islam; give me a shout when he starts getting against Islam, or quits Islam; till then I'm not going to bother wasting my energy cheering his actions.
Update:
Recently Mr.Fatah appeared on AAP KI ADALAT where my opinion of he being an Ugly Muslim is confirmed beyond any doubts. Earlier I had granted him a benefit of doubt of being "sincere & intrinsically good" and trapped (due to apostasy laws) in the ideology of Islam by mere accident of birth in that faith.
At 44:10 a man from audience asks him a question about Love-Jihad practiced by Muslim youth.
In response to question he answers condescendingly & in a dismissive manner.
This coupled with - Tarek Fateh calls for dissolution of India into multiple nations--( Thanks to @ChanakyaBhakta ) definitely suggests that he is NO FRIEND OF INDIA & HINDUS.
Now in my books Mr.Tarek Fatah is Closet Jihadi Ugly Muslim.
